Hello everyone!
Today you have the last English lesson this school year.
We are going to talk about your summer holidays and the ways how to spend them the best.
Well, I guess there exists a great number of different ways of spending summer holidays... But each person has his own preferences, so everyone likes the only way.
I think that there are two ways of spending your holidays - active and passive. The passive way means staying in the sun, for example, and enjoying doing nothing, and the active - quite opposite: going boating or hiking, trying yourself in different kinds of water sports...
I think I can describe myself as a home-sitting person - I’d usually prefer staying at home near the TV set in an armchair than going on a cruise, or hiking, or whatever. But, after I tried jet-ski and windsurfing this summer I have changed my point of view at the holidays. To enjoy the speed of jetski is much more exciting rather than to take a sunbath!
Well, maybe the conclusion would be is that since time passes a person may be bored of each time the same type of holidays, as it happend to me this summer. But holidays are great in all their metamorphoses!

The Eiffel Tower
It is not possible to go to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. Even if you don’t go out of your way to visit it, from almost anywhere you look in the city, the tower is simply part of the view.
Interestingly, this now-famous tower was initially intended to be only a temporary part of France's capital city. It was completed in 1889 and took only two years, two months and five days to build. Given the technology back then, this was an unbelievably short amount of time. It was supposed to stand for only twenty years, but people soon found that it was useful as well as beautiful; its great height (at almost 1,000 feet, it was the tallest building in the world for over forty years) made it perfect as a radio tower. More importantly, it was so popular with the
public, both at home and abroad, that any ideas about removing it soon disappeared.
Today, millions of people visit the Eiffel Tower every year. It has three floors, at 57 m, 115 m and 275 m off the ground, and each offers amazing views of the city. The first floor was redesigned at one point, and now has a glass bottom so that visitors can see straight down to the street below. The first and second levels can be reached on foot; however, visitors need to take a lift to reach the top floor. The view from the top floor is popular with visitors at any time of day, but many also choose to visit the tower after the sun goes down so that they can see the lights of Paris below. Although the great height can be scary, regular work is done on the tower to make sure that it stays safe enough for people to visit, and the view from the top makes it well worth it.

Ще приклади:

( ‘I’m going to get it’ звучить дуже дивно, тому що в цьому випадку Julie повинна була б знати, що він задзвонить до того, як він задзвонив).

( ‘I’ll go on holiday next week’ слід вживати тільки в тому випадку, якщо рішення було прийнято в момент розмови. Звичайно, такий варіант можливий, але зазвичай відпустка планується заздалегідь).
Додаткова інформація за темою:
Ми використовуємо Present Continuous Tense , щоб підкреслити домовленості в майбутньому. Часто немає великої різниці між вибором ‘be going to’ або Present Continuous. У наступному прикладі різниця в значенні майже не помітна:
- I ‘m going to the cinema tonight.
- I ‘m going to go to the cinema tonight.
Present Simple Tense використовується в двох випадках. Перший: для події за розкладом в майбутньому, наприклад, громадський транспорт або початок занять.
- My train leaves at six tonight. – Мій поїзд відправляється в 6 сьогодні ввечері.
- His class with english tutor starts at 9am tomorrow. – Його заняття з репетитором англійської починаються о 9 завтра
Другий: після певних слів, коли в реченні йдеться про майбутнє. Такими словами є before / after / as soon as / until / when :
- I’ll call you when I get home.
- She’s going to study after she finishes dinner.
- Please drink some water as soon as you complete the race.

HISTORY OF CELLULAR PHONES
Cellular
is a type of wireless communication that is most familiar to mobile phones
users. It’s called ’cellular’ (1) ____ to divide a service area into multiple

уже три години? – Вона готується до іспитів. 7) Як
довго діти грають у парку? – Вони
грають з п’ятої.
8) Що ваш брат розповідає вже двадцять хвилин? – Він розповідає про
свого
папугу. 9) Яку статтю він пише з ранку? – Він пише статтю про відомого вченого.
Всі вправи вмконуємо в зошиті. Перевіримо в школі на наступному уроці.
